Pilot Butte

To Start the Season

Elevation: 4,131 Feet

It was an incredible day in the middle of the greyest winter in memory. Too much rain and sogginess, too much cloud cover and not enough sunshine. To top it off, almost no snow in town all winter. So when a day of sunshine and above 40F weather, we had to take advantage of it. We hiked up to the top of Pilot Butte in Bend, Oregon. An easy one mile uphill with 500 or so feet of elevation gain. A great hike to test our legs out.
